To celebrate Dhomz’ birthday, we went scouting for an elegant retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila but close enough for a not-so-long out-of-town road trip adventure.
The not-so-far-away comforts coziness and charm of a grand manor home married with superior service of a world class luxury hotel were very evident in Discovery Country Suites. Given that there were only seven spacious suites in the entire luxury country villa, the superior service was made quite personal. Discovery Country Suites was perfect for our much awaited retreat slash private birthday celeb.
“Perched on a ridge in the cool climes of Tagaytay, Discovery Country Suites is an elegant, tranquil retreat for travelers looking to unwind and discover the perfect balance between warm Filipino hospitality and world-class service. Only an hour’s drive away from Metro Manila, this refurbished manor home combines seven uniquely themed suites, a magnificent lake view, and award-winning cuisine to offer the finest luxury bed & breakfast in the country.”
After our breakfast at Antonio’s breakfast (read more here), we were off to our Tagaytay home for the weekend. Ceylon suite, one of the seven spacious suites of Discovery Country Suites has its own private entrance and pocket garden.
Aside from the usual warm milk and homemade biscuits midnight snacks, free DVD use from a vast DVD library, and breakfast in bread that other bed and breakfast hotels offer, Discovery Country Suites also offer a unique cheese and wine buffet after dinner! Choose from a vast variety of cheeses and wines at Verbena Restaurant.
Belated happy birthday by! =D
