Travel: Davao Eden Nature Park and Resort
I’ve been to several places in two out of the three main islands of the Philippines. I’ve been to some provinces in Visayas, and several in Luzon. Hence, when I was given the opportunity to choose where to travel next, my immediate response was to go Mindanao.
And off we were to Davao, one cool noon in early March 2011.
Our first tourist destination after settling in the hotel – Davao Eden Nature Park, which was 45 minutes away from the heart of the city.
Eden Nature Park and Resort is a mountain resort situated 3,000 feet above sea level. It is is 95% man-made with an imposing view of Davao City and the Davao Gulf.
Eden is a home to many gardens of herbs and organic vegetables, acres of pines and fruit trees, and showcases of exotic and indigenous creatures at the Deer Park and Bird Walk. The Deer Park serves as the domicile of over thirty Philippine deer.
Dont’ forget to bring clothes that could keep you warm. Eden Nature Park and Resort is a mountain resort situated 3,000 feet above sea level. Do not underestimate the resort’s cool climate.
