Travel: Batanes Fundacion Pacita Nature Lodge
Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge is located atop rolling hills, thereby ensuring breath-taking views of the province’s awesome pristine scenery.
Fundacion Pacita used to be the home studio of the internationally-acclaimed artist Pacita Abad. It was then renovated by her brother, former DepEd Secretary Butch Abad. It still houses Pacita’s masterpieces, as walls of the suites and the dining room, living room are decorated with her artwork.
Fundacion Pacita is the best bed and breakfast in Batanes. Compared to the local accommodations, Fundacion Pacita might be a bit pricey. However, price is extremely reasonable given the breath-taking view you’d wake up to every morning, the superb customer service of the friendly staff, the artsy feel due to Pacita Abad’s gallery, the good food, and the cozy ambiance.

…and I asked for my breakfast to be served each morning at the deck.
Did I mention that Fundacion Pacita delivers superb customer service? The staff offered a trip around Batanes for four hours, complimentary of the lodge! Read about my day 2 tour here.
I decided to take the tour on my 2nd day, as one of my friends who has been working in Batanes was to tour me around the town proper on day 1. Read about my day 1 tour around Batanes town here.
