Food Trip: Fire Lake Grill, Tagaytay

We were in Tagaytay and it was dinner time. We were circling Tagaytay looking for a nice resto to go to. My big boy and my little man Sean) were hungry. I had to find a resto…fast. After a series of quick phone calls to my UP college buddies Leeann and Mia, I finally found the white building which is aptly named Cliffhouse.

We decided to dine at Fire Lake Grill, a highly recommended fine dining restaurant located at the exclusive Cliffhouse Tagaytay. It serves great food, has a fine selection of wines, and has cool chill out music on the background. During daytime, the restaurant has a panoramic view of the lake. At nighttime, it’s the perfect date place, as the patio is splendid on a peaceful evening.

Chef Paul Huang is usually in his restaurant, personally welcoming guests. After serving the warm buns and butter, he and head waiter David will offer to explain the menu.

Still loving risotto – Asparagus and mushroom risotto with Luganigue sausages

Thin crust Pepperoni Pizza (Sean’s new favorite)

Fire Lake Grill is in my list of preferred dining destinations in Tagaytay (like Antonio’s and Buon Giorno — blogs and reviews about these restaurants shall be posted shortly).
